A dark cloud has fallen upon Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe(ACCZ) following the death of its Registrar, Leonard Muchineripi Kavhu.
Kavhu succumbed to a heart related ailment at his home in Chitungwiza last week.
ACCZ Executive President Arch-Bishop Johannes Ndanga spoke to this publication during the burial on Wednesday in Mhondoro. He described the late Kavhu as hardworking Christian who worked tirelessly in various initiatives of the Apostolic Council.
“We lost a member, a dedicated Christian who was loyal through all our Programmes and initiatives.”
“We had a common vision of taking ACCZ Programmes to greater heights. He was our Registrar who played the most crucial role in the affairs of the apostolic council,” he said.
ACCZ President also took the opportunity to castigate divisions and unnecessary disputes among heads of Christians. Leaders in churches should live in harmony.
“This is not the time for people to start new churches. It is time to focus on other important issues than to concentrate on divisions and breakaways. We are calling for unity of purpose among Christians,” he added.
ACCZ is the most popular Christian Council in the country and has members in Africa and Europe.
