Tourism Sector, Public Relations and the Communications Fraternity has been robbed of a colleague and friend following the untimely death of African Sun Limited,Head of Corporate Communications Karen Dhliwayo.
Her death comes amid the entire nation heads to 2021 with progressive future fortunes but circumstances beyond everyone’s control has made Karen fail to see the light of the New Year.
In a statement, African Sun Limited Managing Director, Mr Edwin T Shangwa confirmed Karen’s death.
“It is with sadness that we advise of the sudden passing of our own Karen Dhliwayo. The Board, Management and Staff of African Sun would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to the Dhliwayo family on the loss of Karen.”
Karen Dhliwayo has been laid to rest this Saturday at Glen Forest in the Capital.
In a condolence message, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority(ZTA) Head of Communications and Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations(ZIPR) President Godfrey Chief Koti, described the death of Karen as a great loss to the Tourism Sector, Public Relations fraternity and the Communications field.
“The Tourism and Public Relations sectors have lost a highly talented and passionate individual. Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our dearly departed Ms Dhliwayo.
Remembering her wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace. Our most heartfelt condolences.”
Meanwhile messages of condolence on Ms Dhliwayo’s death continues to pour from the Tourism and Public Relations Fraternity.
African Sun Limited where she Karen worked as Head of PR, is a hospitality management company that is involved in the running of hotels, resorts, casinos and timeshare operations in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Some of the renowned hotels in Zimbabwe include Holiday Inn and legacy Hospitality.
