Chigova summons heroics again as Warriors beat Lesotho in COSAFA semis

By Sports Reporter

IMPRESSIVE Zimbabwe Warriors needed another piece of heroics from goal keeper George Chigova to beat Lesotho 3-1 on penalties after the two sides had played out to a goalless draw during regulation time of the 2018 COSAFA Cup semi-final played in Polokwane, South Africa Wednesday night.

Zimbabwe scored three penalties in a row while Chigova saved two to put the score beyond the reach of their losing neighbours.

The defending champions scored through playmaker Khama Billiat, Jameson Mukombwe and the overseas based Alec Mudimu.

Win their semi-final victory, Zimbabwe booked a place in the final against neighbours Zambia who beat Madagascar in an earlier semi-final match game.
