Chombo’s US 80 million dollar loot with Augur Investments unearthed

The Former Minister of Local Government Ignatius Chombo corruption saga with the embattled businessman, Kenneth Raydon Sharpe’s Augur Investment has been exposed.

Both Chombo and Sharp are currently battling a number of corruption court cases on separate grounds.

According to a forensic investigations report seen by this publication, Chombo through his illegal caretaker’s council awarded USD 80 million project to Augur Investments.

The former Minister evaded swearing in of the newly elected Councilors and chose to appoint a three man Caretaker Council which became instrumental in striking illegal deals with Augur Investments OU.

“The Caretaker Council’s lifespan lasted for ‘sixity-three days’. In those ‘sixity-three days’ the council awarded an USD80 million project to Augur Investments OU without going to tender.”

In light of this background, Chombo made his calculations well to strike an illegal deal before the swearing in of the newly elected councilors.

In the orchestration of the corruption saga, Chombo and Sharpe are principal players, hence their deeds are still to be accounted.

“The frantic pace with which the Caretaker Council carried out its business suggested that there was a deliberate programme of action which was designed to achieve certain results before the swearing in of the newly elected Councilors.”
