City Fathers criticized for early closure of public toilets

In a press statement issued this Monday Passengers Association of Zimbabwe(PAZ) President, Tafadzwa blamed the Harare City Council for early closure of public toilets. Says the move is now compromising Women as they will be queuing for ZUPCO busses.

“As PAZ we are condemning the early closure of public toilets by the Harare Council in Harare CBD. The move is now affecting commuters who will be waiting at ZUPCO queues during the evening hours.”

While PAZ has only issued a press statement, the organization has not formerly approached City Authorities.

In a telephone interview Harare City Council Spokesperson dismissed the statement as false. Said the City toilets are always operational during the evening.

“Those are falsehoods, nothing of that sort has happened during the current lockdown period. Public toilets in the CBD are always opened.”
