In a statement this Tuesday Hardlife Mudzingwa CWA Project Manager expressed delight saying the donation will go a long way in assisting residents in preventing the spread of COVID-19 at water points in the area.
“Community Water Alliance expresses gratitude to the gesture shown by MP for Glen View South Honorable Vincent Tsvangirai through donation of 100 latex medical examination gloves to water point committee in ward 32, Glen View.”
“Gloves are helping water point committees prevent handling of water infrastructure with bare hands by residents. This is a measure meant to prevent spread of COVID 19. The donation will help Glen View water point at Corner 11th Avenue & Willowvale Road in Glen View.”
Following the donations extended by Honarable Tsvangirai, Community Water Alliance continues to appeal for more COVID-19 consumables from well wishers and corporate world to assist residents from combating the pandemic.
“The membership of Community Water Alliance that is managing public water points has appealed to the public to help provide COVID 19 consumables to support citizen initiatives to combat the spread of the disease. ”
Community Water Alliance (CWA) is one of the few Civic Organizations in the country to call for COVID-19 consumables during the early moments of the national lockdown.
As an organization we encourage the public to support our Committees and we have issued out a DONATION FORM meant to ensure transparency and accountability in the handling of donations. Those supporting our Committees should therefore sign a copy of donation form which is meant to foster transparency in the operations of the organization.
