Perturbed by the absence of a proper toilet facility at Dzivarasekwa Government Clinic, Community Water Alliance (CWA) has promised to fund the construction of a new lavatory block.
This was revealed by Hardlife Mudzingwa Community Water Alliance(CWA) Coordinator during the handover ceremony of Ano-Care disinfectant and sanitizers. The Civic Organization had partnered Mayin-Waters Company to make donation in the wake of diarrhea outbreak in the area.
“As we were distributing disinfectants and sanitizers at Dzivarasekwa Extension Clinic we learnt of the inadequate toilet facility at the Health institution. As Community Water Alliance we decided to chip in by funding the construction of a new toilet block to cater for the patients and health staff,” Hardlife Mudzingwa reiterated.
Speaking at the same occasion, Ephraim Jora Clinic Chairperson welcomed the pledge by Community Water Alliance(CWA) saying the assistance will go a long way in assisting patients at the health institution.
“Community Water Alliance as pledged to construct a toilet block for our clinic and we are delighted to receive the positive development at our health institution.”
In an interview with Spotlight Online News Africa, Stephen Dhliwayo Dzivarasekwa Ward 40 Councillor said the pledge came at a time when the clinic is overwhelmed by high volumes of patients from as far as Epworth, Budiriro and other places in Harare.
“The pledge by Community Water Alliance(CWA) will help improve sanitation and health concerns at the clinic. Most patients from as far as Budiriro , Epoworth and other places in the Capital comes to seek treatment at this Centre,” he said.
