By Staff Reporter

Famous and renowned Masoe eChishanu Prophet Madzibaba Tyregy Chigadzira has urged Christians and non-believers across the nation to turn to God, as the COVID-19 death tolls continue to increase.

The Chiredzi based Prophet is among top Church leaders in the country to adopt COVID-19 guidelines set by World Health Organization(WHO) and the government of Zimbabwe.

Speaking to Spotlight Online News Africa this Wednesday Madzibaba Chigadzira said the increase in Zimbabwe’s COVID-19 cases and death tolls now require God’s intervention through prayers.

“Our country Zimbabwe has been exposed to the deadly disease and I would like to send a message across the nation that it is now time to for everyone to turn his/her eyes to God. At the moment he is the only hope to jealously safeguard us from this Global Pandemic,” he said.

According to Chigadzira it has been always the same situation since the times of Moses and Elijah that God would come to protect his children from severe deaths, diseases and suffering. Hence if all Zimbabwe and the nation turns to God he will send a good answer to us.

“There is nothing new to our situation. I can give examples of people like Moses and Elijah. During their days people would turn thier hearts to the Lord during times of diseases, deaths and suffering and God would always come to protect his people.”

“As a country it is now time for all people to seek God’s protection so that we overcome COVID-19 disease,” he added.

Prophet Chigadzira has been following COVID-19 guidelines inline with government directive. He has introduced time tables for congregants or groups of less than 50 visiting the warship place.

“Many people usually visits our Masowe Warship place and we came up with ways to reduce congestion. They come for prayer sessions in groups of less than 50 and a sitting arrangement of 1 mitre apart as announced by the Government.”

The self styled prophet also urged Zimbabweans to continue observing social distance and washing hands with sanitizing agencies regularly.
