The COVID-19 wave has find its way at the offices of Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe(GMAZ)’s Chairperson, Tafadzwa Musarara.

Sources inside Alpha Grain at Workington Offices confided to Spotlight Online News Africa that there are some employees who have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

“I can confirm that there are some employees who recently tested positive for COVID-19 pandemic. Some were even showing symptoms of sickness at Alpha Grain in Workington,” the inside source reveals.

Amid all this, workers are still obliged to report to work thereby worsening the COVID-19 situation at Alpha Grain.

“What worries us most is that workers continue to
report to work despite the recent outbreaks. We were hoping that operations would be suspended but as it stands its business as usual,” the source added.

In a telephone interview this morning with Tafadzwa Musarara, Alpha Grain’s Chief could neither confirm or deny the outbreak of COVID-19 cases at the doorsteps of his milling company.

“I am traveling. Give me the names of the persons who had COVID-19 cases so that I can confirm with my Human Resources. There are more than 200 employees at my company so I might not be aware of the developments,” Musarara said.
