Elderly and minors express grief over incarceration of Levels and Fantan

The incarceration of Levels and Fantan left the elderly and minors with gloomy faces in Mbare, the home of Chill Spot records and the entertainment hub for Zimdancehall.

This have also send a sorrowful atmosphere to both families of Levels and Fantan. But more importantly the reactions by the elderly and minors is a clear demonstration that the two are a pillar in the Mbare community and other surrounding suburbs at large.

The Harare Magistrate sentenced the Godfathers of Chill Spot Records for six (6) months in prison. This would mean that Zimdancehall will be without any production from ChillSpot Records during the first six months of the year.

“I want to see them coming back , they a part of our community,” a senior citizen said.

“I was saddened upon hearing the news that our own Fantan and Levels were going to prison,” another said.


A youthful minor lamented that both Fantan and Levels were always supporting him and many young people.

“We used to get a lot of support from Levels and Fantan, we hatheiren crying because of their imprisonment.”

With the two not around , Zim Dancehall will never be the same.
