FC Platinum running out of steam, plays out goalless draw with Caps

By Sports Reporter

LOG leaders FC Platinum’s bid to recover their splendid form of the first half of the current season seems could be getting tougher with each encounter after the champions played out to a 0-0 draw in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Round 20 match at home to former champions Caps United on Saturday.

Since the resumption of the premiership race following a mid-season break few weeks ago, the Norman Mapeza side has lost 1-2 to ZPC Kariba and also drawn 1-1 with Yadah.

Their dropping of points could be good news to Ngezi Platinum, another championship chasing side that will be playing Dynamos this Sunday.

In other matches, Harare City 0, Chapungu 0; Black Rhinos 1 (Honey Chimutimunzeve), Yadah 2 (Simba Sithole, Milton Makopa); Byo Chiefs 4 (Perfect Chikwende, Arthur Musiyiwa-brace, Stanley Ngala), Bulawayo City 1 (Sipho Ndlovu); Nichrut 1 (Boriwondo 90′), Shabanie Mine 0.
