SUNGURA prodigy Romeo Gasa said he is ready to unleash his seventh album titled “ Tamba irikurira” on Friday at East Point Restaurant in Harare.
Speaking at a press conference in Harare today (Tuesday) the musician said album will be an early Christmas present to the needy as he is set to share the stage with various musicians who are living with disabilities.
“I would like to welcome you all as we are about to give our fans an early Christmas present, unlike most album launches where artistes will be expecting to cash in from the fruits of their sweat and of course recover production costs on behalf of Romeo Gasa Trust Foundation we have decided to give back to the community,” Gasa said.
“As an award –winning artiste who has seen it all my heart bleeds for the less privileged hence the decision to give back to the community.”
“In line with our theme “Touching and changing lives” we have decided to rope in some of the artistes with disabilities to be part of the launch, it is purely their launch hence we are celebrating and embracing them as some of us,” he added.
Some of the artists who are set to perform at the launch are Daniel Gonora (visually impaired) and Great- man.
Meanwhile, the seven track album has songs like Zino irema which he featured Dr Tawanda, Mukoma zanda , Yellow Pop and Kudira jecha.
The musician has vowed to assist Gonora whom he said he has always seen playing his music on the streets while begging for funds from passer-by’s.
