A Guruve woman who allegedly killed her husband with a club over a gold dispute last week was arraigned before a Guruve resident magistrate Shingirai Mutiro.
Yvette Dirau (39) of Katsiru village appeared for initial remand facing a murder case and was remanded in custody to November 28, Mutiro advised her to apply for bail at the High court.
Prosecutor Albert Mazhindu alleged the court that on November 15 around 3am Dirau had a misunderstanding with her now deceased husband Victor Zirore (34) of the same village over gold proceeds
Zirore picked a club which he used to beat up his wife all over the body, she however wrested the club from Zirore and fatally struck him on the head and he lost a lot of blood before becoming unconscious.
Dirau tried to render first aid on him before trying to rush him to Guruve hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
