Free Zim Congress Leader, Joseph Makamba Busha has expressed concern over the climate change situation in the country which has brought more harm than good to many lives in the country .
Speaking to SpotLight Online News Africa this Monday in the Capital, Makamba said there is lot that needs to be done in order to save the whole nation from the impacts of climate change. Zimbabwe is grappling with climatic weather phenomenon which saw the distraction of homes, roads and bridges.
“I am very much concerned about the climate situation in the country, we all know what have taken place in Chimanimani, Hwange, Binga and some places. What worries me is the way the government is responding to these climate phenomenons.”
Busha blames the government for prioritizing less towards climate related disasters . He recommends urgent action towards atrocities that comes at the back climatic weather phenomenon.
“Our government has given less priority towards response on these disasters. For example the victims of Cyclone Idai are still clamoring for help from the time they faced the disaster.”
“As Free Zim Congress we are prepared to prioritize climate issues for the interest to protect many lives in the country.”
