Sanganai/Hlanganani World Expo Geared for Success

The high profiled Africa’s Tourism Business Premiere, Sanganai/ Hlanganani World Expo kicked off today on a positive note in the periphery of Bulawayo’s Central Business District(CBD) amid the momentous event is set to scale up tourism business around the globe.

Addressing members of the media today at ZITF exhibition centre, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority(ZTA) Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Givemore Chidzidzi said that 12th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani Wolrd Expo kicked off on a positive note with proceedings of events taking place according to plan.

“ I am delighted to everything we projected in our plannings have come to fruition, just about a week back in Harare during a press briefing we were talking about people arriving and buyers coming in and today I am sure you now got the evidence and proof that buyers have arrived in the numbers we had advised, we are still counting by the way, we have hosted buyers and non hosted buyers.”

Prior to the Africa’s Tourism Business Premier event the public space had been hyped by speculations that the death of Zimbabwe’s Former President would haul down the possibilities of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Expo.

Despite the unfortunate predicament which send the whole nation mourning, Hlanganani/Sanganai World Expo has so far recorded an overwhelming response which saw a tune of 290 exhibitors touching down with 170 buyers represented from 10 countries including 25 international media personnels.

“We recorded 290 exhibitors with more still coming in and interms of buyers side we have 170 with 25 international media represented across the globe but we are still having people coming and enquiring if they may get places, we cannot actually stop them because of the tragedy that befell our country as you all know just yesterday we were burying a hero and people are now in an anticipation for the burial of our former President.

Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe (TBCZ) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Paul Matamisa believes the preparations done by ZTA points toward a successful 12th edition of Sanganai/Hlanganani World Expo adding that going into the future a close range of exhibitor/buyer business interactions seen should persist going into the future.

“As Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe we are gratified that ZTA has successfully managed to stage this event which has started well, with everything inplace we are seeing a successful event and looking into the stands from last night till this morning I saw an improvement on the expo itself showing that we have a great potential for a successful Sanganai.”

“The success of Hlannganani is not only on exhibiting but after Hlanganani we should we should be able to see a movement in terms of business interaction flowing through”

Meanwhile the Acting Minister of Environment,Tourism and Hospitality Industry is expected to grace the high profiled event which wrecked in tourism players from across the globe.
