Sunny Yi Feng closed for evading emmision sampling

Sunny Yi Feng, Norton based tiles manufacturing company has down tools after an order issued by the Environmental Management Agency(EMA). The company dismally failed to adhere to regulations contained under environmental laws.

According to Amkela Sidanke EMA’s Spokesperson, the company failed to comply within the regulatory parameters set by the Agency in time.

“On the 15th of August 2020, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) orderd Sunny Hi Feng, to cease all technical manufacturing operation, on or before the 16th of August 2020.”

“This follows failure by the company to comply with an order previously issued to the company on the 5th of August 2020, directing the company to establish the emission sampling points in preparation of a sampling exercise to be facilitated by the Agency, slated for 12th of August 2020.”

Sunny Fi Ye Feng failed to show its readiness in allowing EMA to carryout sampling exercise on the 12th of August which left the Agency without a choice, but to order an imminent closure.

“However, on the date earmarked for the sampling exercise, the company failed to establish sampling points as had been requested by the agency and further to that, the broiler and furnace were switched off making it technically impossible to do sampling, thus deliberately obstructing course of justice.”

The move had been triggered by the the Norton community which launched complains on on environmental pollution.
