HIP-HOP artist Tinashe Gonzara known as T Gonz in the music industry left hundreds of his fans very disappointed after failing to turn up for his Bindura show at Club 1160 dubbed back from United Kingdom (UK) party on Sartuday night.
Fans around Bindura, Glendale, Shamva ,Mazowe and Mount Darwin waited patiently for the artist until midnight at the local bar and walked away disappointed in the early morning yesterday after the madrinks singer was nowhere to be seen.
T Gonz who was attacked in March and sustained a head injury that caused him memory loss for some time said he is not fully healed hence he failed to attend the show due to a severe headache.
“I have a severe headache since you know l was attacked this year and have not fully recovered l am currently at a private hospital so l failed due to sickness my brother,” he said.
A fan from Glendale Devine Zhou said he was not happy with T Gonz because he had used his fuel in anticipation of his show.
“This is very unfair fuel is now expensive so when one advertises a show he or she has to see to it that the show goes on this is very disappointing we do not expect this from big artists like T Gonz,” lamented Zhou.
“Though is alleged that the rapper got sick but at least he should have made an effort to come and see us than disappointing us like this,” fumed Anna Guzha.
Meanwhile, music promoter and club 1160 proprietor Nyasha Muwomba castigated TGonz for failing to come and giving different excuses and he urged them to be professional like sungura artists.
“I am very disappointed with the artists l have wasted money on posters, police , fuel and PA system for this show, but what l get is so many excuses from the artist, first he said he had a break down while on his way from Zvishavane, second was fuel problems now sickness this is just unfair,” fumed Muwomba.
“We always try hard to support these young stars but they lack focus they should emulate those in the sungura genre we have never encountered any problems with them, yes T Gonz is a crowd puller but he is failing to contain his popularity last time l took him he came around 1 am and that is very unprofessional.”
