The Horizon Group of Schools will become the first academic institution to commence enrollment for the E-learning programme.
This comes at a time when there is a raging debate on schools opening in the country amid escalation of COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Speaking to Spotlight Online News Africa this Thursday in a telephone interview Ms Melody Rujeko Nyadzayo, The Horizon Group of Schools Principal Director hinted on virtual lessons programme.
“We have realized that COVID-19 pandemic is still a challenge to most learners who are now lagging behind. Against this background as players in education we are now resorting to Virtual Lessons. Teachers will be interacting with their students at home.”
The Academic Group embraced Learning Management Systems, an ideal digital platform to enhance learning around the globe.
Teachers are able to plan, execute and assess a specific learning process.
On the other hand, a learner is able to interact others and directly with the teacher. The conversational aspect allows learning process to commence in a live zoom session.
This also allows learners to attend to examinations and revisions without limitations.
The E- Library component allows learning revisions while at home and at the same time being assessed by a parent.
