As the battle between police/local council and vendors continues to escalate, Zanu PF Officials in Mashonaland Central Province has vowed to intervene on the matter.
Vendors just like informal traders will be in a bid to make ends meet in the midst of economic hardships.
However, during the course of their activities they are found clashing with local authorities, a predicament which has brought more harm than good to their livelihoods.
Zanu PF District Coordinating Chairperson, Tafadzwa Musarara has become the first party official in the province to castigate the terrorism of vendors by the police and local council in Mvurwi.
He made the remarks recently while addressing mourners at the funeral of a party official Alfa Nyangoni in Mvurwi.

“I am being advised that the police were harassing vendors in this town. That should stop. We want vendors to be free The DCC is promising you that we are going to engage both the police and the council on that matter.”
Amid all this Council Chairperson Alderman Shereni Mazhambe responded saying the authority was to act on the matter.
“We have heard the vendors’ concerns and we are going to act on the matter”
